Help Create a Space Where People Feel Safe.
At Ashby Family LEAD & Engagement Services, volunteers help create calm, joyful, and respectful spaces. Here are some of the ways you can support the Ashby community, each one meaningful in its own way.
Event Support
Help set up, check in guests, or simply offer warm presence at gatherings, workshops, and community outings. Sometimes, your smile at the door makes all the difference.
Gentle Companionship
Be a calming presence during group sessions or classes. This might mean sitting beside someone, helping with an activity, or just listening when someone wants to talk.
Share Your Skills
Love art, music, fitness, admin, or storytelling? We welcome volunteers who want to lead short sessions or assist in workshops with whatever skills they bring.
Community Care
Occasionally, we just need another set of hands. You might assist in day programs, help clean up after events, or offer quiet encouragement during activities. No task is too small.

All volunteers are required to complete a background check before getting started. It’s part of how we create safe, stable spaces for everyone.

We offer clear training tailored to the people we serve and the role you’ll play. You’ll never be asked to do something you’re not prepared for.
Team Support
You’ll always have someone to reach out to with questions, challenges, or ideas. Our staff are here to walk alongside you.
